Bradford County driveways fail for a specific reason — and it’s not the gravel.
The soil beneath most rural and residential properties in Bradford County is sandy flatwoods: a thin sandy surface over a spodic hardpan layer sitting 18 to 36 inches down. That hardpan doesn’t drain. When North Central Florida’s wet season arrives — June through September, with 50-plus inches of annual rainfall — water backs up beneath the surface instead of percolating away. Gravel shifts. Base material displaces. Low spots flood and rut. By the end of one rainy season, a driveway built without accounting for that drainage constraint looks like it’s been there for ten years.
The same problem hits private roads, farm access lanes, and ranch roads harder — heavier traffic loads on the same failing base.
On Track Land Management builds driveways and access roads for Bradford County’s soil and water, not for ideal conditions that don’t exist here. Every project starts with a drainage assessment. Culverts go where the water actually moves. Base compaction accounts for what’s underneath. The US-301 corridor and SR-16 rural properties this crew serves don’t get a generic build — they get one designed for what Bradford County ground actually does.
Posted on Google Amanda NethercuttTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. On Track Land Management did an excellent job forest mulching our property. Several acres were extremely overgrown, but now we can clearly see the lay of the land. Cody was professional, very responsive, and great to work with. We’re looking forward to the next phase!Posted on Google curtiss mecuskerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Cody did a great job clear cutting and also removing 6 inch trees and smaller, also underbrush , from my property. He gave me good advice , he was willing to include changes as the job progressed and worked hard to complete the job on schedule. I will be using him in the future for additional clearing and dirt wok.Posted on Google Blane EvansTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing job!!! Very punctual and does exceptional work!! Will be using him again for another project in the near future. He is very honest with people about jobs and he values honesty over making money from people. His honesty and advice saved me over $5000 on a different job that another company quoted me. Will be recommending Mr. Cody Gabbard to anyone in the future that needs brush work removal, soil leveling or any skid steer related work for their property. I would not go with anyone else but him because he is the best there is. Exceptional work!!Posted on Google Lea BrecknerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Removing debris is about more than just maintaining appearance—it protects your property from pest infestations, drainage blockages, and fire hazards.
Every driveway and road project starts on the property — not with a material order.
On Track evaluates the site first: access route, grade, drainage flow, and where water pools or moves during a rain event. On Bradford County’s flatwoods terrain, that drainage mapping step determines whether a culvert is needed, where it goes, and what size handles the water volume the site generates. Getting that wrong means a washed-out driveway after the first heavy storm — getting it right means it drains and holds.
Site preparation follows the assessment. The path is cleared, the grade is cut to direct water away from the surface, and a compacted base is built before any gravel or road material goes down. Compaction on sandy flatwoods soil requires the right sequencing — a base that looks solid dry can displace under load when the wet season saturates the layer beneath it.
Culverts are installed at drainage crossings before final surface material is applied. Gravel or road surface goes down last, after the foundation work is done.
New driveway installation, private road construction, farm and ranch road access, driveway grading and leveling, road resurfacing, and drainage improvements — all handled in-house, start to finish.

Bradford County’s sandy flatwoods soil sits over a hardpan layer that blocks drainage. Without proper base compaction and culvert placement, water backs up under the surface and displaces the base after heavy rain.
Yes — culvert installation is part of the build process where drainage crossings require it. Drainage is mapped before construction begins, not added after the surface washes out.
Yes. Private road construction, farm roads, ranch access lanes, and recreational land access roads are all in scope — same process, same drainage-first approach regardless of use.
Yes — driveway grading, leveling, resurfacing, and drainage improvements on existing driveways. If the drainage issue isn’t corrected, resurfacing won’t hold — we address both in the same project.
Yes. On Track serves Bradford County and surrounding North Central Florida — rural parcels, agricultural properties, and recreational land along US-301, SR-16, and surrounding county roads.
